I’ve seen birds crushed under a car’s wheels. Or tiny babies fallen from the nest. Passersby didn’t stop to care or to help. One of my flatmates took home a bird. It was in a shoe box when I got home. Seeing it not responding, I took it to the animal rescuers. Unfortunately it didn’t make it. These little ones are fragile and need professional help asap.
