Benny Lim Thanks for your thoughtful response. Yes, I miss Dad. His coffee was kurang manis too. I’m from Penang. Now that he’s passed over, I offered him chocolates (sweets) haha… hoping he can take sugar now!

My aunty taught me to pay respects with the coffee and food. I believe it is a Buddhist ritual. I left the coffee for one whole day and was kind of expecting to see the coffee reduced as a sign that he’s taken it. I was a bit disappointed, it was still there.

It was more for me, than for him. Since he is now in spirit form and they cannot eat. Otherwise I’ll try durian next time. LOL

Remember your dad in anyway that makes sense for you. Any way that makes it special for you. Prayers for you & your family too. Big hugs from Sydney AU.
