It was Sunday November 18, 2018 in Sydney. I passed by this park and thought I might sit down for a minute or two.
Standing at the traffic lights, my foot started hurting. That made me think of the pain in my life. This year has been tough. Please check my post on mental health. I started talking to myself and my friend “Mr. Pain.”
I said, “Hey Mr. Pain, thanks for all the lessons. I’ve learnt a lot from them. But you know what? It’s time for me to move on. I’m DONE with this lesson. It’s time for you to go now and leave me alone. I may see you from time to time in the future, but it’s time for YOU to move on now!”
There was a park nearby and I decided to sit down. I looked at the blue sky and the birds who were flying around. They were happy because it was a fine day. I smiled to see them zipping here and there in the sky.
I spent a few minutes talking to myself and Mr. Pain’s other friends. Then a crazy bird flew by and pooped on me. It fell on my phone. Then I noticed some poop on my glasses. I took out a tissue to wipe them. It was a windy day and the strong wind blew my tissue away.
Someone must have been listening to me because he sent this bird (or birds) to poop on me. “Hey Mr. Bird, you’ve got a mission. Go and poop on that woman on the bench. Your friends can join in if they like.”
I turned around to check where my tissue had gone.
I saw this young couple behind me in a passionate kiss!
Oh Boy! I kid you not! Their lips were locked together like super glue.
What a weird day!
Crazy birds and horny teenagers! The girl was sitting on his lap and they were kissing for quite a long time. I turned my back on them and went back to my thoughts.
Signs. Do you ask for them? I’ve been asking God to give me a sign, at least one, that I’m going in the right direction. I need to change my life.
I need to move on.
Have you ever felt that way? Wanting to move on?
Superstition says that it’s a lucky sign when a bird poops on you. The more birds involved is even luckier, but hey messy! If you wanted to win the lottery, you could ask for a whole bunch of crazy birds to poop on you!
Bird poop brings good luck! There is a belief that if a bird poops on you, your car or your property, you may receive good luck and riches. The more birds involved, the richer you’ll be! So next time a bird poops on you, remember that it’s a good thing.
Turkish superstition says it’s good luck to get pooped by a bird.
I bought the lottery but I didn’t win anything. Ah well. Worth a try. Guess it only works in Turkey?
I hope that this true story of mine has made you smile and laugh!
What have you done to change your luck?
What has worked for you?
