Elena Tucker Thanks for your comment and claps for this post. I have a personal experience with mental health and felt compelled to share. Yes, the stigma is killing those people who felt TOO ashamed to ask for help.

Shame is just about the most destructive emotion! Do we scold and blame people who get Cancer or Parkinson’s? Do we ask whether they deserved it? That kind of thinking and judgemental spirit is not from God. God would ask us to have kindness and compassion for our fellow humans. We are ALL connected. When one feels sad, it effects everyone else. #butterflyeffect is real.

Many of our most beloved famous musicians, poets, writers, artists, dancers & other creative arts, have suffered from some form of mental illness in their lives. Creative people feel MORE deeply, I believe because of their struggles and suffering.

I agree, we do need to keep sharing and talking about this. I was shocked when I research the stats for this post. 1 million people, DEAD. Plus at least 20 others had attempted to kill themselves. That makes over 20 million people. It’s an epidemic and people are blind to it. Media doesn’t help. Only brave people like ourselves, would talk about it. I wrote about suicide and mental problems on LinkedIn.
