Michael Simmons Modern Polymath. Intriguing proposition. I was an accountant for like 20 years, then when my last finance job ended, I was at a crossroads. With time on my hands, I started signing petitions on Facebook for animal rights issues. I self-taught myself social media and started #pinterest. I started writing posts on LinkedIn. I have 127 long posts there now. I found myself interested in AI, robots and the future of work. So I started writing several series on them. Currently, I’m into mental health due to a personal experience with it.

Problem: having too many interests. I now need to choose a specific direction or keep writing & getting involved, until it gets clearer. You’re right, the process is not easy. But definitely worth it. I’m such a different person from where I was 10 years, 20 years ago. I thought I would stay in Accounting for the rest of my life. I was wrong. It’s good to be wrong sometimes, as long as we can learn from the experience(s).
