Dating is a complex activity. Women like to make lists of the qualities that they like in their man. Then they search to find who fits their criteria. It’s called matching. Some dating sites add in compatibility testing. They don’t always work as we may be unrealistic about our Ideal Mate.

Tall, slim, financially stable, has all his hair, all his teeth and works in a bank.

You meet someone who’s funny, makes you laugh until tears roll down your face. He’s short, a bit on the plump side, has two missing teeth and his hair is falling out. The only time he’s close to a bank is when he’s at the ATM. LOL. Go figure huh? This is the X-Factor in relationships! It’s called #chemistry

The Romance books will tell you: this is how it goes. You fall in love when Boy meets Girl. Their eyes meet across the room. Or he was captivated by her laugh. Hearts start to beat boom boom boom!

If the man is brave enough, he would walk towards her. She takes a step forward, he takes one more step. Until they stop. In front of each other ❤️

They have NO idea about their work, salary, university or college or religion. These things come up later. #cupidstrikesagain?

Sometimes they brush those misgivings aside. “We love each other. Those things doesn’t matter.”

Maybe they will. Maybe not.
