Your response to your critic is priceless! It must have taken them back to receive such a cordial response. Very likely delivered with a warm smile.
“My response to his aggression wasn’t hostile, but tolerant and cordial. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. And, aren’t your words a reflection of who you are?”
One of the reasons why the world is in a mess now could be due to the lack of sightedness of many. We go about with planks of wood in our eyes while criticizing those who have specks of dust in theirs. Isn’t that how the Good Book puts it in a parable?
When criticized, we fight back. Our ego, our pride has been offended. How easy is it to get offended? Too easy perhaps. I applaud your cordial approach. It may give you a chance to have a deep discussion with your critic. Perhaps both of you could learn something good out of it. Even transformed. Peace.
